Good Evening Parents,

Friday I handed out the first homework menú. I hope your children are busy completing a few things each day. It will be very important for your child to read a book on RAZ Kids each night to increase fluency and comprehension. On Tuesday, we will go to the school library and check out two books. One book will be at their instructional level and the other book will be free choice. They will take a 5 question comprehension quiz on their leveled book before we return to the library the following Tuesday. I will place a label  indicating their A.R. reading level by  color inside their yellow homework folder this week so you know which book to focus on each evening. Also, I will send home a letter from Renaissance Home Connect that informs you how to connect and see your child’s results on each comprehension quiz.

Make sure to always read our school’s blog to be informed about upcoming events.
